The Beautiful World of Aerin

aerin1Can style be cultivated? Or it comes from a family with acute sense of beauty that is equivalent to effortless luxury which is transferred down (wired in the genes), I wonder? But I guess it takes a keen eye to “see” what is there, and at times, not there, but understand the aesthetics of what beauty is all about. But then again, everyone has different interpretation and understanding of what beauty is. But I truly believe everyone is somehow attracted to all things BEAUTIFUL in life, and all its aspects – design, arts, music, fashion, film, and other forms of creative work. Beauty is definitely in the eyes of the beholder (and is pretty subjective).

Aerin2Aerin3The moment I ventured into Aerin’s website, I am absolutely captivated by the way it is designed, its layout, the fonts used, its soft pastel colour(s) scheme and its beautiful images. I am a very VISUAL person, I am totally in love with it. Kudos to the team behind it! Of course, am sure it is the visionary direction of Aerin herself. It is after all, a global lifestyle brand inspired by the signature style of Aerin Lauder (from the family of Estee Lauder). I love her premise of living life beautifully should be effortless, classic with a modern point of view! (all pictures via World of Aerin here).

Aerin4I really believe that beauty is in its simplicity, amidst a world of sophistication. Find your kind of beauty that makes you happy and hold on to it, for it is as precious as air itself, that you are breathing, and that is what keeps us alive, every day, seeing the beauty in things (and people) *_^ Happy happy Wednesday (my favourite day of the week!)

Be luminously beautiful. Be YOU!

The House of Spirit

From HOME Journal Magazine Hong Kong (February 2012)

From HOME Journal Magazine Hong Kong (February 2012)

No, I am not talking about CONJURING *_^  I am looking at the home of Florence Lopez, an antique dealer who has such great taste in terms of home styling. In Saint-Germain-des-Pres, this home exhibits elegance, modernity with a touch of humour all at once, according to the HOME Journal February 2012 issue (Yes, I like back dated magazines!). According to her, furniture and works of art – provided they are quality pieces – have a heart and are living beings, almost like people (hence the title above for the article, I guess).

This chic Parisian apartment, situated in Saint-Germain-des-Pres, is located on the top floor of a building from the 18th century. Glazed and hyper luminous, it served for a long time as the atelier of a sculptor. (no wonder that creative space and bold colours). It’s definitely a space where you can let your creative juice flow! Home Journal is an inspirational interior designing magazine. More here.
