RAIN Is Back!

RainHaven’t decided how to spend your coming new year? Why not countdown at one of the best seats in the region, move your feet and dance to the beat of this South Korean superstar who has been in a two-year hiatus? Suave hot dance moves and sexy vocals, who am I talking about? Who else but RAIN (one of my favourite Korean singers!)! He will be headlining his first performance in Singapore (no luck Malaysians, you have to travel down south) at Marina Bay Sands! Two shows, New Year’s eve and New Year’s Day itself. (My heart is racing now, my hands are a little shaky hitting on these key pads ^_^).

marina bay sandsSo,  what are you waiting for? Tickets are ON SALE now starting today! There will be firework viewing with hospitality after the performance for those who purchase the “A” Reserve. [Instagram] So Much Have Gone By

insta collage7It’s been a while since I updated what’s been happening on my IG. Been to a great make-up session with RMK by Japanese make-up artist, Masaaki Abe himself recently, had such great fun, then bought myself a pair of colourful Zara heels! Been addicted to this Korean drama called The Master’s Sun starring the gorgeous looking So Ji Sub and cute Gong Hyo Jin (so, my Wednesday and Thursday nights are off limits, even my TV lover-hubby also stepped aside to let me have my “dating” time with the leads and their ghost friends!). I was extremely excited to also roll out LUMINNEJ very first giveaway, a collaboration with Cle De Peau BEAUTE Malaysia. (Still waiting for entry to pour in *_^) and of course, was invited to attend the inaugural local Mandarin film industry’s Golden Wau Awards 2013 ceremony. There, I met up with new talents, model cum actress Tracy Cheong, among others. It was glamourous indeed.

Am really looking forward to more new things happening with LUMINNEJ and hope to achieve more here, be it making new friends, or working with new partners to share the passion about all things beautiful. Above all, hope to connect with different people out there. A big thanks for all my readers (thought not many yet, at this point, haha but I am grateful) and hope you will stay with me, on this journey of making LUMINNNEJ a better lifestyle blog, each day, everyday, with small little steps, at a time. More on RMK here, Cle De Peau BEAUTE here and The Master’s Sun here.

As always, stay luminous and happy, always!

Too Cool For School: The New Korean Fix (Part 1)

tcfs12 Displaytcfs19 Lip Studytcfs3 BB Foundation Lunch Boxtcfs14 Dinoplatz Cream EyeshodowTwo words to describe my first impression of the brand – Cool and Creative! When I breezed through Robinsons at the Gardens the other day, what caught my eyes and made me turn back to check out these lovely make-up items at a wood-based monotone-themed counter was in fact its uniqueness. The packaging is very creative and intriguing. After a few chats, the friendly promoter referred me to their brand manager and the next thing I knew, I was invited to visit their boutique at Telawi 3, Bangsar to check out more.

tcfs4 Art Class Blushertcfs7 Egg Mousse SoapTOO COOL FOR SCHOOL, how cool can you get for a cosmetics brand? I was amazed by the variety of make-up items found there. The boutique is spacious, well designed to keep you interested (and perhaps shop more *wink wink*). It is a little like a treasure trove, the more you look at the cosmetics, the more you will fall in love with the art designs of their packaging. This new Korean brand (now available in Malaysia) differentiates themselves from the rest of the Korean brands in the market by not having a particular Korean celebrity attached to it. Check out some of the items found at the boutique.

They really tickle your senses. I find the character driven line cute and very girly. Illustrated by German illustrator Anke Weckman, characters like Sienna (the starry eyed lovely girl), Emma (the Bohemian artist) Joey (the chic fashionista) and Max (the secret cat of Sienna) seem to come alive and call for your attention. My favourite will have to be the Dinoplatz range in terms of the packaging design. I love the white and black, and most of all, the dinosaurs seemingly rampaging across the city full of skyscrapers! Oozing with awesome coolness, don’t you think?

They have cute packaging make-up to skincare items like masks and egg mousse soap cleanser, to address different needs. They even have eyelashes and make-up brushes. I  guess the Korean wind is so strong that one can’t seem to resist these days. To see for yourself, check out their boutique at No.11 (Ground Floor), Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru or you can check out their FB page here. You can even shop at the Robinsons, Too Cool For School.

Stay tuned as I will reveal which ones are my favourite Too Cool For School products in my second parter of this post. Till then, stay luminous and COOL *_^
